MTech and Ascom (US), Inc Partner to Provide Two-way Integration with HotSOS
Ascom and MTech solutions combine the leading hospitality service order system with Ascom’s voice and messaging capabilities creating superior customer value through integration.
Miami, Fla. — April 29, 2009 — MTech and Ascom (US), Inc. announced today they have successfully integrated MTech’s HotSOS service order capability with Ascom’s UNITE Messaging Suite for sending messages and alerts to mobile employees throughout the hotel. MTech’s HotSOS (pronounced “hot sauce, HotSOS stands for Hotel Service Optimization System) enables hotels to streamline their guest-services processes, such as guest-request and incident reporting, rapid-response workflow and preventive-maintenance workflow. The HotSOS product is just one example of why Miami-based MTech is considered the industry’s leading provider of innovative, cutting-edge technology that helps hotels improve communications and operations, increase productivity and maximize guest satisfaction.
Two-way integration provides the ability to send HotSOS service orders directly to an Ascom’s wireless handset, and then quickly respond back via the handset with the service order status. Ascom’s two-way integration with HotSOS is simplified by populating handset soft keys with appropriate order status responses, promoting ease of use for mobile workers.
Tom McKearney, Ascom’s EVP of Marketing and Business Development emphasizes “delivering timely information to the point of need improves a hotel’s response time and their ability to exceed customer expectations. In a very competitive industry like hospitality, creating repeat customers is all about service.”
Luis C. Segredo, MTech’s president and co-founder, said that “combining our market-leading service order system with Ascom’s wireless voice and messaging system is a natural evolution in expanding our reach for customers through mobile devices. Mobile devices are critical tools for improving the guest experience, and when combined with HotSOS provide a unique opportunity to speed up service response time.”
This two-way integration between HotSOS and Ascom wireless handsets will help streamline workflow, giving hotels the opportunity to leverage their service order system investment with the global leader for on-site wireless.
