Andreas Umbach proposed as a member of the Ascom Board of Directors

Andreas Umbach will be proposed for election to the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting of Ascom Holding AG to be held on 21 April 2010. Andreas Umbach has been President & COO of Landis & Gyr AG in Zug for many years. He significantly contributed to developing this traditional company as an internationally successful group with subsidiaries in thirty countries, some 5,000 employees and revenue of around CHF 1.4 billion (2008).

It will also be proposed to the Annual General Meeting that the four existing members of the Board, Juhani Anttila, Paul E. Otth, Dr J.T. Bergqvist and Kenth-Ake Jönsson be re-elected for a further one-year term of office. Dr Wolfgang Kalsbach will not be standing for re-election. The Board would like to thank him for his valuable contribution and wishes him all the best for the future.
