NIS ROAD CP

Tunnel

NIS Road CPis an IP based emergency call and public address system for motorways, dual carriageways, tunnels and galleries.

It supports copper, optical and wireless transmission. Media conversion takes place on the call point electronics and there is therefore no need for a media converter. The call points use standard protocols and can therefore be connected to standard network components.

The management node (MANode) is responsible for system monitoring, configuration and call routing. As an option, it can also be fitted with an OPC interface for advanced integration in the control system and with a GSM interface for wireless connection to the GSM network.

NIS Road

Key functionalities

  • ISDN, analogue or VoIP (SIP) connection to public address
  • Web interface for central management (MANode)
  • Redundant network connection for the MANode
  • Redundant network connection to the call point via ring topology or connection via two GSM providers (two SIM-Cards) (depending on the technology you choose)
  • End-to-end monitoring of call points
  • Call point transmission technology:
    • GSM
    • Copper Ethernet (Cat 5)
    • Ethernet via optical fiber (SFP module; mono / multi mode)
  • Call point Supply variants:
    • Local external supply
    • Autonomous operation via solar panels (with intelligent power management)
    • Remote supply via PoE, only with copper Ethernet
  • Connection to a central time server (NTP)
  • Integration of third-party systems via the IO contacts on the call point electronics
  • Remote access (ISDN/ADSL)
  • Easy to integrate in control system via contacts, SNMP or OPC

MAJOR BENEFITS

  • Supplier independency by using of standard IP/GSM network
  • Cost reduction thanks direct connection between IP and fiber optical communication (Optical call station: ) reduce complexity (no media-converter needed)
  • Autonomous operation (GSM/Optical) through intelligent power management and solar powering
  • High availability; Continual self-test ensure fail-safe operation
  • Fully integrable into existing networks and management systems over standard interfaces
  • Emergency call solution able to integrate and supervise systems and components, e.g. supervising of fire extinguisher, control of flash light

SOLUTIONS

  • Emergency Call

Every day millions of people use public and private means of transport. In an emergency, minutes can often make the difference between the success or failure of a rescue assignment. The emergency call centre plays an important role in this connection. Indeed, in an emergency, it is crucial for the rescue services to be informed quickly and to receive all the geographic data they need.

  • Operational Telecom System

Safe, disruption-free, flexible and absolutely reliable – those are the main requirements of railway operators when it comes to their operational telecom system and their control centres.
