Every day millions of people use public and private means of transport. In an emergency, minutes can often make the difference between the success or failure of a rescue assignment. The emergency call centre plays an important role in this connection. Indeed, in an emergency, it is crucial for the rescue services to be informed quickly and to receive all the geographic data they need.

Solution

The Ascom emergency call system NIS connects workstations, emergency call stations and subscribers in public networks. Video systems can also be integrated in NIS, which also monitors and controls third-party systems such as: automatic ticket vending machines, fire extinguishers, emergency exits and traffic light systems. Dispatch centres can be organised in a versatile way using the role management and functional addressing.
