The Ascom OLTU Access Node makes your optical connections even more flexible and more efficient. It combines various electrical interfaces together with their respective protocols into a single optical fiber output. Therefore the OLTU Access Node is the ideal connection unit at both end of a optical-fiber transmission in a surrounding where copper lines are replaced more and more with optical-fiber connections.

A wide range of interfaces is available such as EUROCOM, analog and VoIP Telephony, Ethernet, E1 etc.

The type and number of interfaces can vary according to customer’s requirements. The OLTU Access Node offers the following functionalites : LAN Switching, Telephony Service, Permanent Voice Channel (EOW), Configuration, Diagnostics and Control functions.

The OLTU Access Node guarantees flexible, economical and customer–oriented solutions. The unit is delivered in a ruggedized housing specified according to MIL-STD-810E for use in the field.
