    RELATED INFORMATION

DRANOS 3

Dranos 3 from Ascom enables communications in places where PSTN (landline) connections are not available. With its integrated Power Management, Dranos 3 can be operated autonomously anywhere using a solar panel, ensuring voice and data communications via GSM (900/1899/1900) and GSM-R networks, even without network infrastructure. The integrated voice memory is used to play back instructions, reassurance messages or general information from recordings. The equipment monitors itself permanently and its status can be reported to the control centre via text message (SMS). Dranos 3 can be operated autonomously with simple independent management software or integrated into the NIS system solution from Ascom.

  • Emergency Call

Every day millions of people use public and private means of transport. In an emergency, minutes can often make the difference between the success or failure of a rescue assignment. The emergency call centre plays an important role in this connection. Indeed, in an emergency, it is crucial for the rescue services to be informed quickly and to receive all the geographic data they need.

  • Operational Telecom System

Safe, disruption-free, flexible and absolutely reliable – those are the main requirements of railway operators when it comes to their operational telecom system and their control centres.
