Millions of people are using the road network every day. In an emergency, minutes can often make the difference between the success or failure of a rescue assignment. The emergency call centre plays an important role in this context. Indeed, in an emergency, it is crucial for the rescue services to be informed quickly and to receive all the geographic data they need.

Solution

NIS-Road CP is the emergency call and public address system for highways and tunnels. It connects the driver with the highway attended staff and implements voice/data service on a single communication network. NIS-Road CP is specially designed to fulfill all relevant requirements such as permanent self-test of the call stations, automatic adjustment to ambient noise, control and supervising of peripherals like fire extinguishers and doors.

The callpoints of the NIS-Road CP use standard protocols and can therefore be connected to standard network components. The core of the system is the management node (MANode) which is responsible for call routing, system monitoring and configuration. The NIS-Road CP can be integrated in command and control systems over SNMP, IO-Contacts and OPC interfaces.

All call station electronic boards are deliverable in differed enclosures.
