TEMS DRIVETESTER CDMA GENERAL FAQS

1. How do I ensure optimal performance from the TEMS DriveTester CDMA?

Do not turn off the Power without stopping the recording and exiting the application.

Com Port Settings should be as follows for the tool:

• Com Port 5 or 6 for the CDMA Phone
• Com Port 7 for the GPS
• Com Port 8 for the PN Scanner
• After installing the hardware within the vehicle be sure to turn the switch button on located on the left side of the vehicle cradle when facing the user.
• When minimizing the TEMS DriveTester application to conduct data testing do not tap/click the task bar to maximize the view. The embedded operating system is slightly different than the regular PC environment in that when minimizing an application a small icon will appear to represent the minimized application. Simply tap the small icon representing the minimized application, and it will restore to full screen size.
• After tapping the end record button pause/wait as there is a brief delay in which the user will the the see the record button appear before it is followed by showing a stop and pause option indication appear to the user.

2. The Cell File Converter tool in TEMS Drivetester 5.0 does not work. I get the error: "ImportError: No module named temspy"

To set environment variable:

• Go to Start and open My Computer. Right click in the window and select properties.
• Click the Advanced tab
• Click the Environment Variables button
• Under the User Variables section, click new
• In the Variable Name field enter PYTHONPATH and in the Variable Value field enter C:\Program Files\TEMS Products\TEMS Drive Tester\Scripts;C:\Program Files\TEMS Products\TEMS Drive Tester\Application
• Click OK
