ANSWERS
1. The Timeslot Monitor view shows fewer TRUs than the actual configuration. Why?
R-PMO logfiles only record the channel allocation and release messages. If no channel in a specific TRU changes state during the recording period, there is no message to identify the channel and TRU.
2. Why is the Freq/MAIO missing from some timeslot records?
To identify the Freq/MAIO value, TEMS Visualization uses both the Channel busy message and the Handover/Assignment Command message.
When a call is a handover into the recording set (from outside the set), the Handover Command message is not recorded. As a result, the corresponding Channel Busy message does not have a Freq/MAIO or Hopping value.
3. I selected a row on the grid, but its corresponding timeslot is not highlighted on the monitor. Why?
The Frequency/MAIO is not available in the data, so the TRU will not be updated with the timeslot information. As a result, nothing is highlighted on the monitor.
4. The Timeslot Monitor view does not show the BCCH, Dedicated PDCH, or the SDCCH. Why?
R-PMO logfiles record only the channel allocation and release messages. If a channel, such as BCCH or Dedicated PDCH, stays in the same state during the recording period, there is no message to identify the channel.
