Finnish Defence Forces confirm partnership with Ascom –orders for openAccess Node Systems of total 2,9 million CHF received

The Finnish Defence Forces budgeted 17,5 million CHF for the purchase and the maintenance of openAccess Node Systems of Ascom – now Ascom received a first order out of this frame contract with a value of 1.9 million CHF.In addition to this order, Ascom is awarded by the Finnish Navy with the delivery of openAccess Nodes worth approx. 1 million CHF.

FDF and Ascom entered a frame agreement concerning openAccess Node Systems in 2005. As announced at a media conference held in Helsinki on 1 September 2006, Finnish Defence Forces have budgeted 17,5 million CHF in total for the years 2007-2011 for the purchase and the maintenance of openAccess Node Systems of Ascom. With a value of 1.9 million CHF, this order includes another large delivery of openAccess nodes to the Finnish Defence Forces.

In addition to this order, the Finnish Defence Forces Navy awarded Ascom with an important order for openAccess nodes as well as other communication components in the amount of about 1 million CHF.
