Ascom Wireless Solutions signs OEM Agreement with Mitel

Ascom Wireless Solutions has been awarded Next Generation DECT as well as WiFi business from Mitel. Mitel is a leading provider of unified communications headquartered in Ottawa, Canada. The contract will generate annual revenues for Ascom of a mid to high single digit million CHF amount.

The agreed scope of the OEM agreement includes the design, development, manufacturing and delivery of a full range of cordless enterprise hand-phones based on the DECT- and on the WiFi standard (IEE 802.11), as well as IP-DECT infrastructure and accessories. The IP-DECT offering is targeted for the global market and will be available later this calendar quarter.

This expanded relationship further strengthens the leadership position of Ascom Wireless Solutions in the field of mobile work-place telephony for voice and critical data.
