Divestment of Interactive Solutions

Ascom has received an irrevocable offer for the activities of Interactive Solutions as one of two sub-areas of its Business Unit Payphones in France.

In the context of focusing on its core activities as communicated in November 2007, Ascom has received an irrevocable offer to purchase the activities of Interactive Solutions as a sub-area of its Business Unit Payphones.

Airmedis SA, a French company domiciled near Lyon, made an irrevocable offer to purchase the operating assets of the Interactive Solutions activities of Ascom SAS and to take over 15 employees in France. Ascom SAS will reply to Airmedis’ offer after having completed the consultation of its employees’ representatives in accordance with French labor laws. The signing and closing of the transaction is expected to take place by end of the year

Ascom still works on a solution for the remaining activity of its Business Unit Payphones. The target is to present a result by end of the year.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The transaction would lead to a book loss of a low single digit million CHF amount for the Ascom Group.
