Major US Network Operator selects Ascom Mobile Test Solutions

Ascom Mobile Test Solutions (MTS), a world leading supplier of mobile network measurement tools, has secured a new order totaling over CHF 12 million from a Tier One cellular network operator in the United States.

A major US network operator has selected Ascom for its nationwide Quality of Service benchmarking program. The formal general acceptance (GA) was granted for the Ascom platform Symphony Multi after an extensive evaluation of the system. Orders from the various US regions are expected to total over CHF 12 million in the next twelve months, making this one of the largest benchmarking deals ever awarded to Ascom.

This large purchase of Symphony Multi further strengthens the existing relationship between Ascom and the operator, which had already been using Ascom’s Monitor Master product.

The selected systems from Ascom to monitor and benchmark the nationwide service quality are an important base for the operator to fulfill its quality targets.

Ascom Mobile Test Solutions will form part of Ascom’s new Network Testing division as of 1 January 2010.
