RESTON, Va.--June 24, 2009--TEMS™ Investigation 10.0 includes new functionality for LTE as well as TD-SCDMA, iDEN, CDMA, and HSPA+ technologies. This first release of TEMS Investigation from Ascom continues the evolution of the global leader among in-vehicle network testing solutions.
With data collection, real-time analysis, and post-processing all in one tool, TEMS Investigation supports the daily optimization of wireless networks. It includes functionality to test all major technologies, with new support for TD-SCDMA and iDEN.
For LTE, TEMS Investigation 10.0 includes new scanner support for spectrum and enhanced power scanning. LTE signal scanning is improved so that scanned cells are now arrayed by channel number. Scanning capabilities are extended to cover the 900, 1800, 2100, AWS, and 2600 MHz bands.
Other new features include enhanced service testing for CDMA, basic support for iDEN data collection, and voice and data service testing for TD-SCDMA. Information elements allow performance analysis of HSPA when using the MIMO multi-antenna technology. Enhanced Audio Quality Measurement functionality now includes the Speech Quality Index in MOS scale for AMR WB codecs for both GSM and WCDMA. Support for many new terminals has also been added.
"No matter what technology or what level of network maturity, all networks require testing and optimization," says TEMS Managing Director Rikard Lundqvist. "TEMS Investigation provides a proven mix of powerful data collection, testing, and analysis capabilities to help operators achieve better service performance for any network."
With this release, TEMS Investigation marks over a decade of industry and technological leadership. TEMS Investigation is the flagship product in the TEMS portfolio, recently acquired by Ascom to create the global market leader for mobile network benchmarking and optimization.
