UMS (United Medical Software) was established in Italy in 2000 and quickly grew to become one of Europe’s leading developers of specialist software solutions for ICUs and other critical care environments. The company was founded and is still headed by Gabriele Unterberger, and is headquartered in Florence, Italy. UMS was acquired by Ascom in 2015.
