Objective and Purpose: Technical Documentation is paramount in the highly regulated medical device industry, and Ascom is committed to ensuring compliance with all requirements. As a Technical Documentation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing, preparing, and maintaining documentation for users, service engineers, and other technical stakeholders.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Write, distribute, collect, store, and maintain documentation for Ascom products and offerings.
  • Produce high-quality technical documents such as data sheets, installation instructions, user manuals, and system documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements for Instructions for Use.
  • Maintain Ascom's document publishing platform and lead reviews to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for documentation updates.
  • Design user documentation for optimal functionality, readability, and consistency.
  • Provide training, coaching, and feedback to contractors and new employees working with user documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information design or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years + of working experience in technical documentation.
  • Knowledgeable about Ascom's product portfolio.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in text layout, design, and graphical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
