Ascom and Person Centred Software have partnered with Orana Gardens, who provides independent retirement living, and all levels of Residential Aged Care in Dubbo NSW. This business partnership will support Orana Gardens to continue their vision of delivering, high quality, aged care services for the Dubbo and surrounding communities.

The delivery of the Person Centred Software Care Application with the Ascom Myco 3, the latest addition to the ‘My Companion’ series of professional, smart device now means that caregivers have a tool that enables documentation optimisation, personalised care, and team coordination by evidencing care at the point of delivery

The Ascom Myco 3 is a versatile purpose-built device which features multiple care delivery and monitoring functions. It works with apps to integrate with nurse/call alert systems, wander management and monitoring solutions and data collection system. Contrasted with consumer devices not designed for the harsh care environment, the Ascom Myco 3 combines the ease-of-use of a smartphone with robust enterprise-level security and durability.

The Person Centred Software Care App solution provides caregivers the tools they need to deliver the best quality of care possible with an easy to use icon driven app that records care wherever they are allowing them to spend more time with the residents they support and less time on administration and paperwork to provide better care.

Andrew Wind, Chief Executive Officer at Orana Gardens, says: “We are very pleased with the way that Ascom and Person Centred Software have worked together to support our requirements with their joint solution offering. Carers and clinical staff  are now able to work more effectively across the residential care home, with a purpose-built device and resident focussed application that delivers better care coordination and support.”

About Person Centred Software

Person Centred Software provides a single solution which is called Mobile Care Monitoring (MCM). MCM is designed to be in the hands of the carers, rather than being tied to a PC, laptop or tablet. The system is easy to use and icon driven with limited need for typing.  Communication happens with automated escalation of important care interventions; with care plans, planned care routines and shift handover notes; with resident’s preferences, flags for overdue care, and happiness indicators. We have also extended the system’s communication capabilities to include a service user’s social network. This allows everyone involved with a resident’s life – family, friends and additional care providers – to engage with their care.
