Objective and Purpose

Driving portfolio development for new and existing software solutions for healthcare providers with a focus on understanding their clinical needs and maximizing sales of Ascom's clinical workflow solutions.

Building and maintaining strategic business relationships with key stakeholders in the regions that develop and drive the business for acute care.

The job holder reports to: Head of Global Portfolio & Product Management. Hybrid mode with possibility fully remote.  Can be based across Europe.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing the long-term product strategy and mid/short-term plans to support Ascom`s clinical products and solutions.
  • Drive, define and maintain the product roadmap for the defined product portfolio based on market requirements, suggesting new products as well as enhancements on existing products
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the market, competitive environment as well as technological developments relevant to the defined product portfolio. Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products. Collect and analyze input from regional team members, partners, end-users, customers, and the Senior Leadership team
  • Prioritize and define features, functions, and cost targets for assigned product portfolio. Create Requirement Specifications and Business justifications for new products
  • Manage commercialization and launch activities for new product introductions with adequate knowledge transfer to marketing, training and regional teams. Support creation of the elevator pitch, sales presentation, battle card and other sales tool kits
  • Manage the product life cycle and support the maintenance requirements for products within their defined product area
  • Set recommended end user prices for the product portfolio based on competitive and market data.
  • Build and establish strong method of communications with all stakeholders
  • Align product roadmap with segment manager to ensure a cohesive product offering.

Requirements

Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Marketing, Technology, Business Management or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product marketing, product management, and/or portfolio management, preferably within the IT or healthcare sector
  • Solid technical understanding of Ascom’s and industry-relevant product and solutions (e.g. healthcare IT, clinical software)
  • Excellent overall knowledge and understanding of the segment/use cases the specific product is targeting (e.g. clinical workflows)
  • Strong experience in marketing activities for complex business-to-business products and applications; and in creating sales tools to support regional sales, and channel partners
  • Proven track record of successfully collaborating across teams and geographies in an international environment
  • Excellent business development and product management (+PLCM) skills and knowledge (e.g. pragmatic marketing)
  • Highly skilled in translating market development and customer needs into requirements for products and solutions.
  • Strong capability to develop business cases and provide business justification and value argumentation of proposed solutions with targeted projections
  • General knowledge of relevant regulatory processes and requirements (such as medical devices, FDA & MDR)
  • Stakeholder management, great ability to foresee, identify and understand stakeholders and their needs
  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills and ability
  • Excellent planning, organizing and implementation skills
  • Proficiency in English, both, oral and written; knowledge of German, French or Swedish would be a plus
  • Empathic attitude and talent to engage and motivate others
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Quick learner, with affinity towards technical topics, Ascom’s products and offerings and how they create values for customers
