Accountant

As a key member of our Finance team, you’ll be utilising your financial acumen to support the Australian business.

Your days will be filled with…

• Maintaining ledger integrity for assigned group entities.
• Supporting the preparation of associated entity transactions, end of month balance sheet reconciliations, profit & loss reports, and any ad hoc analysis.
• Meeting month end reporting requirements in terms of ledger cutoff and monthly reporting packs.
• Assisting with end of year processes.
• Month end and ad-hoc variance analysis of ledgers with reference to underlying business drivers and KPI’s.
• Assisting departments with an understanding of the financial aspects of their function.
• Upkeeping and further development of business required reporting.
• Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting for allocated group entities.
• Conducting month end account reconciliations.
• Verifying the credibility of suppliers to ensure we engage with trustworthy entities.
• Detecting and filtering out fraudulent or inappropriate invoices prior to their system entry.
• Confirming that each invoice is properly authorized by the designated personnel and aligns with the allocated budget.

And you are…

Tertiary qualified in Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline with professional accountancy (or working towards) qualifications such as CPA or CA. You’ll also have an understanding of how company policies, authority delegation, cost center budgets, and procurement processes interact. Additionally, you will have:

• Experience in reconciling supplier invoices with purchase orders within an ERP system.

• Knowledge of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) legislation in Australia.

• Familiarity with the latest Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations in Australia.
