July 5, 2017

The German communications software developer Swyx has awarded Ascom a major contract worth EUR 1 million. The signing of the agreement reinforces the existing customer relationship and will enable Swyx to meet its customers' communications needs even better.

The placing of this order worth some CHF 1.1 million (EUR 1 million) underlines the confidence of Swyx in Ascom's reliable and proven technology. The agreement includes IP-DECT devices d43 and d63 and the new 4-channel IP-DECT access point, which will be offered through the Swyx sales channel for the first time. The devices and the IP-DECT access point of Ascom complement the high-quality Unified Communications (UC) solutions of Swyx and enable the UC specialist to respond even more effectively to its customers' needs.

As a developer of communications software specifically intended for small and medium-sized enterprises, Swyx has for some time put its trust into Ascom's reliable and proven communications solutions. Swyx operates a two-stage sales system through distributors and more than 1,200 specialist outlets. Swyx not only markets software solutions in five languages, but also offers a product portfolio featuring telephones and other devices, many of which are from Ascom.

"Concluding this agreement with Swyx demonstrates yet again that the solutions Ascom can offer are not only well received in the highly attractive healthcare market, but are also appealing to other sectors. We will continue to work on cultivating and deepening customer relationships outside the healthcare sector, in order to meet the growing need for complex and secure communications solutions in our markets," says CEO of Ascom Holger Cordes.
