Your days will be filled with...
Project delivery activities:
- Analysis of requirements
- Design of system/ solution
- Installation of both hardware and software
- Test and commission customer solutions.
- Documentation
- Training/ instruction on how to use the system.
- Report on project progress to the project manager.
Customer support activities:
- Analyse and prioritize customer issues.
- Troubleshooting and solving issues at customer installations.
- Implementing more minor changes for customers.
- Advise customers on best practices.
- Demonstrate and maintain own expertise on the latest technologies and methods through successful completion of training
- Establish good documentation standards to preserve the traceability and serviceability of delivered products and solutions
- Interface with customers and peers to collect information needed to perform professional services
As well as:
- Work together with a team of dedicated colleagues on delivering projects.
- Partly work on the Ascom office and partly work onsite at customer sites
- Demonstrate and maintain own expertise on the latest technologies and methods through successful completion of training
- Establish good documentation standards to preserve the traceability and serviceability of delivered products and solutions
- Interface with customers and peers to collect information needed to perform professional services
Required competencies
- Electrician with application experience.
- Experienced with working with external customers.
- 5 + years experience in a technical System Engineering position or similar
- Understand technical specifications and capabilities of relevant key systems and solutions
- Basic understanding of network and firewalls.
- Ability to write well-constructed reports
- Structured documentation
