Finance Manager

As the Finance Manager you’ll be utilizing your financial acumen which will ultimately help the business meet its objectives.

Your days will be filled with…

Using data and financial principles to drive and shape the mid-term plan (MTP) discussion and decision.

Managing the monthly P&L forecast based on deep discussions of upside/risks after reviews with the local business.

Preparing, reviewing, and presenting the monthly financial review pack to the Head of Group FP&A and Head of Region explaining variances and actions taken to deliver the budget.

Driving positive and sustainable change to allow execution of the MTP i.e. cultural and operational changes.

Developing an in-depth understanding of all key accounts, projects and products within the business and help shape the organisation through constructive challenges and making recommendations to improve top line and profitability.

Reviewing and scrutinising the funnel opportunities with the local management team ensuring the funnel is clean and provides a true indication of how the business is developing.

Supporting pricing of new opportunities to ensure pricing is understood, risks are mitigated in contracts and revenue recognition follows company policy.

Prepare monthly financial forecasts and yearly budgets

Collaborate with global finance/accounting teams on financial matters, e.g. monthly closing of the books, monitoring of accounts receivable and debt collection, approving of vendor invoices for administration functions

Work closely with the global finance team, participate in finance projects to improve and develop current ways of working, tools and processes

Handle and steer outsourced accounting and payroll services & tasks for Finland and coordinate external and internal audit activities

Your background…

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field
• Several years of relevant working experience from similar responsibilities
• Strong accounting (local accounting standards & IFRS) and taxation know-how
• You’ll also have experience in working in a financial planning & analysis or controlling position and have the ability to work in the grey and making decisions with limited data.
• Proficient in ERP systems with strong MS Excel skills
• Self-motivated and adaptable team player with strong interpersonal skills and a supportive mindset
• Analytical and result-oriented
• You are hands on, operational and enjoy handling a wide set of tasks
• Fluent in Finnish and English.
