The Project Delivery Manager is a key regional role within the Services and Operations organization. He/she assumes end-to-end responsibility for all activities and deliverables related to implementing a customer-specific project. He/she leads and managers everything from initiating the project to closure, including handing over to Ascom’s Customer Care operation. Upon completion of the delivery project the Project Delivery Manager stays actively engaged in with the specific customer, manageing potential issues and escalations, dealing with change requests. He/she also directly leads a team of solution designers, software engineers and when applicable implementation engineers

  • Responsible for customer satisfaction, Net Revenue generation and high-quality of Professional Service organization
  • Ensure that assigned projects are properly planned and managed end-to-end and apply all necessary standards, processes, tools and project management skills
  • Pro-actively manage project risks and ensure high-quality project delivery in terms of costs and quality
  • Manage resource plan and allocation for assigned projects and ensure milestones and decision points are documented and monitored
  • Manage and optimize productive and billable utilization of Project Delivery team resources
  • Ensure financial management of projects in line with financial policies, e.g. revenue recognition, work in progress, percentage of completion
  • Act as main interface to customer and ensure efficient communication and governance for delivery projects
  • Oversee and manage employees in project delivery team, constantly ensure that the colleagues in these positions effectively execute their responsibilities and tasks.
  • Lead, manage and provide guidance to team, motivate and achieve steady improvements
  • Ensure ongoing development and updated technical skills of team members
  • Provide technical expertise and enable own team to efficiently deliver on customer projects
  • Demonstrate and maintain own expertise on latest technologies and methods

Requirements

Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Bachelors or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar. Alternatively, broad professional experience in software delivery
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with involvement in software delivery and/or system integration deployments in healthcare
  • Proven track record of medical device software installation and configuration
  • 1-2 years’ experience as Project Manager, preferably managing complex, large ICT projects
  • Proven track record of successfully leading projects, especially creating work breakdown structure to plan and monitor project activities and risk management
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership experience in global, multi-cultural environment
