The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting our sales efforts. This position involves collaborating closely with the sales team to understand their needs and challenges and to help communicate technical information to both technical and none technical customers. Key responsibilities include creating compelling sales pitches, coordinating technical information, and fostering strong customer relationships. As an expert, you’ll provide technical input during product development, deliver top-notch support to internal and external teams, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Your proficiency in technical matters and ability to align messaging will drive success in this dynamic role.

 

Your days will be filled with…

Supporting Sales Team:

  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Assist in creating compelling sales pitches and presentations.
  • Provide timely responses to inquiries from sales representatives.
  • Prepare technical details and engineering specifications during the sales lifecycle.
  • Ensure that sales and resellers have accurate and up to date information.

Customer Interaction and Coordination:

  • Engage with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Coordinate technical information, business proposals, and requirements.
  • Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers.

Technical Input:

  • Contribute technical insights during product discussions.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure product features meet customer requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with the implementation team and technical assistance center (TAC) for strategic alignment.
  • Identify and address customer complaints, non-conformities, and improvement opportunities.

Expert Technical Support:

  • Provide expert-level technical support to both internal teams (RSDs) and external partners (resellers).
  • Conduct training sessions for pre-sales and post-sales activities.
  • Address complex technical queries promptly and effectively.

Proposal Preparation and Analysis:

  • Assist in preparation of detailed and accurate quotations and proposals.
  • Analyze customer requirements and tailor proposals accordingly.
  • Develop comprehensive scopes of work that outline project objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure that SOWs align with organizational standards and industry best practices.
  • Regularly review and update SOWs as project requirements evolve.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Microsoft Server and Desktop OS.
  • TCP/IP Networking.
  • Wireless Networking.
  • IP and Digital Telephony knowledge.

  • High responsiveness and customer focus.

Experience and Education

Education:

  • Degree in Information Management Systems or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience is viewed as equally valuable.

Experience:

  • Sales Support role experience utilizing phone, email, and web-based systems.
  • Server hardware and Microsoft Windows Server familiarity.
  • Telecommunications, IT, or WLAN experience.
  • Basic IP routing knowledge.
