As an Account Manager at Ascom, you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing long-term relationships with our valued customers. You will be responsible for understanding their needs, developing sales strategies, and ensuring the successful execution of these plans to generate sales and create satisfied customers. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of Ascom and has a significant impact on the success of our organization.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and execute the sales strategy within assigned accounts, creating a strategic account plan and owning the execution of measures.
- Meet and exceed sales targets while achieving strategic objectives in the assigned accounts.
- Grow and maintain the existing customer portfolio while actively qualifying new leads to ensure a balanced sales funnel for future business opportunities.
- Develop account penetration strategies for key target and competitive accounts, providing valuable market intelligence to the business.
- Foster highly effective and trustful working relationships with customers, conducting proactive strategic account reviews and managing communication between customers and internal project teams.
- Deeply understand customers' business models, goals, needs, and challenges, aligning Ascom's solutions and products accordingly.
- Prospect for new customers and business opportunities, generating proposals, and actively participating in the bid process when applicable.
- Coordinate with Ascom subject matter experts in customer interactions, including support, service, and management resources, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of services.
- Utilize business management systems and tools to monitor and forecast responsible accounts professionally.
Your Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or related field, or relevant certifications (e.g., Strategic Account Manager Certification).
- 3-5 years+ of experience in key account management or similar leadership roles, preferably with technology-driven products and services offered to commercial, institutional, and/or industrial customers.
- Proven track record in account management, assertive selling, and building strong relationships with customers.
- Profound sales experience, including a successful track record in sales execution, direct and indirect, and value-based (complex) solution sales, especially in software.
- Experience and success in selling into "Public" environments (Collectivités locales, Gendarmerie, etc.) is a plus.
