The Vice President, Technical Delivery leads and coordinates both the Project Management and Implementation Engineering functions that manage and implement customer delivery projects, assuming end-to-end responsibility for successful technical installation and integration, commissioning, and user acceptance testing. 

Candidate must reside within the United States. 

Your days will be filled with…

  • Manage the team delivering Ascom Customer Delivery projects of medium to large size character, based on defined contract scope, assumptions and constraints
  • Manage subordinate project teams to:
    • Revenue budget achievement
    • Project completion cycle time
    • 100% compliance with use of PMO process and Engineering procedures/documentation
  • Ensure that assigned projects are properly assigned, planned, and managed end-to-end and apply all necessary standards, processes, tools, and project management skills
  • Pro-actively manage project risks and ensure high-quality project delivery in terms of costs and quality
  • Manage resource plan and allocation for assigned projects and ensure milestones and decision points are documented and monitored
  • Protect project margins with the cost elements (primarily man hours and HW items) and report regular status update (in terms of deviation outside project tolerance on immediate basis).
  • Act as interface for Ascom organizations related to customer and partner escalations during the installation process
  • Ensure compliance with creation and maintenance of relevant documentation, incl. handover to Customer Care team according to Ascom’s project documentation standards across the Ascom Professional Services organization
  • Ensure that the Ascom professional services organization is meeting both budget and forecast revenue delivery obligations for all labor projects

And you are…

  • University degree (MSc.) in Business Administration or Technology or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g. Prince2 Practitioner, PMP professional, IPMA minimum level B, Scrum)
  • 10-15 years’ experience in a combination of Project Management, Program Management, and Team leadership, preferably managing organizations delivering complex, large ICT projects
  • Proven track record of successfully leading transformational teams, especially creating work breakdown structures to plan and monitor project activities and risk management
  • Working experience in the IT, telecommunication, or healthcare sector

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills, especially communication and conflict management
  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in English, both, oral and written
  • Basic experience in contractual law applicable for customer delivery projects
