We're seeking an experienced Head of Ascom Academy to take charge of our core skill development activities, drive training initiatives, and elevate our global Learning & Development endeavors. Position Description: 

The Head of Ascom Academy holds a pivotal role in driving our training and development efforts. You will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, and evaluation of our entire Training Portfolio. Additionally, you will oversee the conceptual design of global Learning & Development activities, including the implementation of a global training process, leadership and talent development programs. Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with regional and functional resources, content owners, and subject matter experts to ensure a cohesive approach and consistency in our training programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead a team of 4-6 direct reports responsible for the execution of training and development programs.
  • Strategic Training Portfolio: Plan, manage, and develop a strategic training portfolio and roadmap to meet the business needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Learning Management System: Implement a Learning Management System to cover all development activities, including training calendars, program catalogues, and dedicated learning paths.
  • Common Training Standards: Develop and implement common training standards, processes, and tools for holistic employee skill assessment and efficient scalability of training content.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all external and internal audit requirements related to training and competence development are met.
  • Knowledge Resource: Act as the go-to person within the business for all questions and queries regarding training and development plans.
  • Digital Focus: Promote a strong sustainability focus by implementing digital training formats with efficient learning transfer.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Relevant technical, commercial, HR, L&D higher education on the university level.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Good industry and didactic/pedagogic knowledge and experience.
  • Training Lifecycle: Several years of experience and deep knowledge of the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) Training concept and utilizing digital training tools.
  • Evaluation Expertise: Ability to perform training evaluation on 4 levels (Reaction, Learning, Behavior, and Result).
  • Professional Development: Strong background in designing and delivering professional development programs.
  • Innovative Learning: Proficiency in innovative learning methodologies and blended learning concepts.
