Objective and Purpose: As a Product Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continuous improvement of our product quality. You will serve as the main interface between Ascom's Customer Care organization and the R&D Engineering Team, focusing on solving issues related to our products and solutions.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to sustaining and maintaining the quality and functionality of Ascom’s core product portfolio.
  • Manage NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) from end-to-end, ensuring effective communication and progress updates.
  • Evaluate incoming Jira tickets for potential product non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with Engineers to replicate and evaluate reported issues.
  • Participate in testing scheduled product releases to enhance product quality.
  • Provide suggestions for product enhancements and improvements to the product manager.
  • Proactively analyze and improve maintenance workflows and processes.
  • Share technical updates and information within the organization and cross-functionally.
  • Support troubleshooting activities with Ascom customers on-site when necessary.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of applicable industry experience in similar roles.
  • Industry experience in medical devices is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Deep knowledge of Ascom's product portfolio and relevant processes.
  • Excellent technical understanding and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders, provide a sense of urgency, and follow through on commitments.
  • Strong assertive communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written.
