Ascom Americas,a healthcare IT and clinical collaboration company, today announced that it is expanding its relationship with Newtech Systems to bring Ascom’s complete portfolio of clinical workflow solutions to hospitals in northeastern Ohio and northwestern Pennsylvania. This agreement extends Newtech Systems’ territory from eastern Kentucky, southern Ohio, West Virginia, and southwestern Pennsylvania, giving Newtech Systems access to 154 additional hospitals and more than 17,000 beds. Newtech Systems sells Ascom’s end-to-end portfolio, which offers healthcare customers solutions for nurse call with intelligent alarming, medical device integration, and mobile handsets.

“This extension of our partnership demonstrates how our two companies are helping hospitals reach the goals of the Quadruple Aim by leveraging technology workflow solutions,” said Susan Griffey, regional sales director, Ascom Americas. “Workflow technology can help hospitals meet the challenges of handling more and sicker patients with fewer nurses, becoming a standard of care in acute care settings beyond deployment in the ICU.”

Newtech Systems has been an Ascom partner for over a decade and focuses on creating communication synergy. Newtech helps staff members seamlessly communicate within the facility, reaching critical team members, retrieving important essential data, and talking with their patients directly, all to ensure their patients experience great care, comfort, and hope. Newtech has multiple offices, including its headquarters in Ashland, Kentucky; Lexington, Kentucky; Columbus, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Dunbar, West Virginia.

“We’re committed to helping customers make the most of their Ascom workflow technology solutions, from installation through service, to enable more efficient and effective workflows,” said Tom Kibler, Vice President/General Manager of Newtech Systems. “By deepening our relationship and increasing our sales and service territory, we can now better serve healthcare systems in the Midwest.”
