Ascom, a Healthcare IT and clinical collaboration company, today announced that it is growing its mobility partner network with the addition of Forerunner Technologies. Forerunner adds expanded coverage for Ascom products, serving healthcare and enterprise customers in the U.S.

As a mobility partner, Forerunner will be selling Ascom’s full portfolio of mobile devices and software offerings, supporting Ascom’s clinical collaboration workflow solutions-driven approach to improving patient care.

According to reports, the projected market growth for Healthcare Mobility Solutions in the U.S. will grow from $67 billion in 2021 to $175 billion by 20271.

Forerunner will offer Ascom’s smartphones, DECT, and VoWiFi handsets, including the:

 ·       Myco 3 – an Android, ruggedized device that’s disinfectant-ready and resists dust and liquids to the IP67 standard

·       i63 – an enterprise-grade handset using VoWiFi built to be tough and secure that comes in three models: Talker for voice-only, Messenger for added messaging, and Protector for personal security alarming

·       Unite – a software platform that optimizes workflows by taking data from multiple sources, filtering it, and creating alerts, chats, and tasks for clinicians.

“The combination of mobile handsets and management software gives nurses a powerful tool to provide better care for their patients – from monitoring their patient’s vitals to responding to priority alerts to making their workflows more efficient with fewer trips between rooms,” said Corrado Grieci, Vice President of Sales, Ascom Americas.

“Ascom’s unique ability to offer workflow solutions enabled by technology is what hospitals need to meet the objectives of the Quadruple Aim – better patient outcomes, reduced costs, and increased patient and nurse satisfaction,” said Rick Taylor, Chief Revenue Officer, Forerunner Technologies. “By partnering with Ascom we’re changing the paradigm on how customers think about critical endpoints like mobile handsets and moving to a workflow solutions first mindset.”
