Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects within hospital environments across the South of the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction-based project delivery, extensive experience with NEC contract frameworks, and a thorough understanding of cabling installations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for the deployment of healthcare infrastructure in live hospital settings.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and scope in accordance with NEC contract frameworks.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Oversee installation of structured cabling systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and hospital regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, site evaluations, and ensure all works meet safety and compliance requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often in complex and sensitive clinical environments.
  • Provide regular progress updates to senior stakeholders and clients, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing construction-related projects, ideally within live healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with NEC contracts (e.g., NEC3/NEC4).
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems, installation practices, and applicable standards (e.g., BS EN 50173, TIA/EIA standards).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly across the South of the UK, sometimes requiring overnight stays.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in operational healthcare environments is highly desirable.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent project management certification.
  • CSCS card or equivalent health & safety certification.
  • Knowledge of HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) standards.
