 As a Software Engineer at Ascom, you'll play a central role in our Research and Development team. Your focus will be on product development in Agile projects and software maintenance for our existing products. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand project objectives and then create and maintain software that enhances Ascom's product offerings.

 

Your Contributions: 

  • Design and implement optimal software solutions with a focus on functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Understand customer and stakeholder requirements and contribute to requirement analysis and definition.
  • Produce both high-level and detailed designs for core services.
  • Identify and address technical debt to enhance maintainability.
  • Stay current with technical developments and new technologies.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure consistent coding practices and solutions.
  • Create technical requirements and design documentation while contributing to user documentation.
  • Participate in design and code reviews, fostering continuous improvements.
  • Verify your own software modules and support overall software product verification.
  • Promote clean, scalable, secure, and testable code.
  • Assist in resolving customer issues and advocate for test automation.

 

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Experience in designing and programming software.
  • Experience in agile software development and development life cycles.
  • First experience with cloud and Microservice architecture.
  • Excellent general IT skills.
  • Very good skills in applicable programming languages, especially .NET Core, methods, and tools.
  • Knowledge and deep understanding of the latest relevant technology.
  • Strong problem diagnosis and problem-solving skills.
