Objective and Purpose: The Senior Presales Engineer plays a crucial role in effectively demonstrating Ascom's products and services to both prospective and existing customers. This role involves providing expert support to the sales team, contributing to marketing initiatives, and participating in the technical development of products and services. Additionally, the Senior Presales Engineer mentors and guides junior team members to foster their professional growth.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Support the sales team in promoting and selling Ascom products and services.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop sales tools for resellers.
  • Provide technical input for the development of products and services.
  • Deliver expert technical support and training to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of specifications favoring Ascom equipment for engineering firms.
  • Interface with customers at all organizational levels, coordinating technical information and proposals.
  • Analyze customer needs and contribute to product and service development.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and technical advancements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes to enhance performance and strategy fulfillment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • Engineer Degree with a strong interest in IT, technology, and customer relations.
  • 5+ years of experience with Ascom products or Healthcare Monitoring Systems, EHR, IT, telecom, or wireless technology (DECT or 802.11).
  • Professional wireless certifications and/or networking certifications.
  • Extensive experience in sales support, server hardware, Microsoft Windows Server, telecommunications, IT, WLAN, and desktop operating systems.
  • Familiarity with IP routing.
  • Professional working level of German and English.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Deep knowledge of Ascom products portfolio.
  • Subject matter expertise in at least two Ascom product lines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems, TCP/IP Networking, Wireless Networking, IP and Digital telephony.
  • Understanding of Clinical Solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Strong feedback and coaching abilities.
