Objective & Purpose
The Global Content Marketing Manager is responsible for executing a content strategy and plan that ensures the ongoing success of Ascom's (online) presence. The Global Content Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution of the content strategy and participates in achieving the overall success and performance of the strategy.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Execute the content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets for Ascom
Collaborate with global and local marketing peers to plan and develop content, messages
    Create a platform for distinguishing content, that supports the innovation and strategic direction of Ascom
    Create and publish engaging content, work on innovative content and new deliverables
    Edit, proofread and improve writers’ posts, do some basic writing when required
    Liaise with content writers to create content and ensure brand consistency
    Liaise with designers and agencies to create content and ensure brand consistency
    Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics
    Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
    Develop and maintain an editorial calendar and ensure content team is aligned with the strategy and plan
    Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)
    Stay up to date with developments, industry trends and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention
    Monitor and frequently review the content distribution, according to KPIs
    This role may require some travelling, which includes to the Lichfield (Staffordshire) Office and may include European travel; it is expected to be less than 20%
    You are tasked with gathering the relevant input from the Global Segment Marketing team and the Regional Marketing Specialist and their teams. By collating all requirements and needs, the Global Content Marketing Manager is responsible for the quality of output from copywriters, graphic design and agencies that we work with. 
    The deliverables will include, and will not be limited by: blog posts, web copy, and creating new ones based on current events or industry trends. The Content Marketing Manager also maintains an editorial calendar, so deadlines don't get missed. Also, the Content Marketing Manager will advise, and give guidance to use the appropriate platforms for both content distribution as well as creation, sharing, publishing and monitoring.

    Requirements
    Qualifications & Experience
    Proven work experience as a Content managerStrong communication skills: able to communicate effectively with people from different cultures and backgrounds, including writers, translators, editors, and stakeholders.
    Excellent organisational skills: Managing content across multiple languages and markets requires a high level of organization and attention to detail. 
    A global content manager should be able to prioritise tasks, manage timelines, and track progress.
    Knowledge of international markets: Understanding the cultural nuances and preferences of different markets is essential for creating content that resonates with local audiences. 
    A global content manager should have the appropriate knowledge of the markets they are targeting, including language, customs, and business practices.
    Familiarity with content management systems: A global content manager should have experience using content management systems (CMS) to manage and distribute content across multiple channels and platforms.
    Ability to guide a creative team: a team of writers, translators, editors, and other content creators requires strong organizational skills. 
    A global content manager should be able to motivate and inspire colleagues to create high-quality content that meets business objectives.
    Adaptability and flexibility: the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, such as new market opportunities, emerging technologies, or shifting business priorities.

    BSc degree in Journalism, Marketing Communications or relevant field
