Objective & Purpose
The Copywriter is responsible for the written communication of our marketing campaigns and brand. You will create innovative and inspiring content for on- and off-line marketing communications, from product launch campaigns through to leadership content. You will champion our brand and tone of voice and support the pitch of creative concepts to internal customers. A member of our Global Content Team, which is part of the Marketing department, comprising of creative, project management and digital. You will also work collaboratively with agencies to deliver high quality content for best outcomes. Your overall purpose: to support our brand positioning by creating creative content for all our audiences worldwide.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
Create engaging concepts and written content against brief, that are innovative, compelling and on time
Write content for all channels including corporate literature, thought leadership content, articles, blogs, press releases, website and social media
Ensure content applies to relevant target audience including customers and partners, and key stakeholders within these groups
Provide advice, support and guidance to internal customers
Work with regional marketers, segment marketers, the digital marketing team and your peers in the content team to create innovative campaigns and pitching concepts
Champion our brand values and brand guidelines across Ascom
Ensure that all creative outputs reinforce the Ascom brand and tone of voice
Liaise with customers, staff and industry experts to inform and generate content
Research ideas and provide evidence for thought leadership
Liaise with external agencies and other suppliers and partners for specific projects and campaigns
Support the continuous improvement of the execution of our content plan and suggest new ideas for content creation.
Required Skills
Excellent command of the English language
Good knowledge of any other European language is an advantage
Ability to translate objectives and briefs into innovative, creative content
Ability to foster solid relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies
Results oriented
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Required Experience
Five years’ experience in marketing/communcations field
Minimum five years’ experience in copywriting
Experience in a healthcare, enterprise or tech market is an advantage
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Understand the importance of brands and branding
Experience working in/with global B2B organisations preferred.
