This is a supplement to the Privacy Statement of both your healthcare organization and Ascom. In order to understand the data collection and use practices relevant for a particular Digistat product or service, contact your healthcare organization. The healthcare organization can request access to Ascom data protection policies and documentation in addition to reading this supplement (which addresses the deployment and use of Digistat Mobile on your enterprise’s mobile devices). If you are a professional working for an organization you can contact your employer which is responsible of the privacy policy in place.
NOTE: Because Digistat Mobile only works with a licensed Digistat product and because information is collected and shared only within your organization, installing the application without a properly configured Digistat product will result in no data being transmitted and will limit the data collection to the minimum. Such data will be stored in your device only.
Information collection and your organization
The information collected by the Service is only available to your organization. Digistat products provide your organization all the tools required to comply with the current privacy regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679. In case of GDPR Acsom acts as a Data Processor. Access to data follows the rules put in place by your organization.
Information collected
The following is the information the application might collect.
Device information. The application may collect device-specific information, such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique HW ID.
Application information. The application may collect information about your installation like the operating system type, the application version number, application faults and user behavior including indoor positioning information.
Android permissions and usage
These are the relevant Android permissions required and their usage in Digistat Mobile.
CAMERA: To support barcode scanning functionality and to allow users to generate content that is relevant to the purpose of specific modules.
RECORD_AUDIO: To allow users to generate content that is relevant to the purpose of specific modules.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE EXTERNAL STORAGE: To allow application updates in environments with no internet connection and on device logging capabilities.
READ_PHONE_STATUS: To allow coherent identification of devices when combined with EMM software.
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: To support NFC tags for patient and device search functionality and for features in specific modules (i.e. Alarm filtering in Smart Central Mobile).
