Through its products and solutions Ascom is shaping the care experience of people with a need of special (health) care, for example patients and elderly people. The Company’s expertise in improving clinical care workflows is paramount to the caregivers in hospitals, elderly care establishments and other care facilities. With constant development of new solutions and including the advantages of digitalization, Ascom assures that caregivers have more time for patient’s needs.
The caregivers roles and the promotion of a conducive working environment such as Calm in Patient Care, Patient Care Share, Staff Protect, are critical in achieving global mandates1 such as universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Ascom offers internal training and supports continuing education to its employees to assure high qualified staff members in the fast changing and dynamic field of communication technology and ICT. Moreover, Ascom supports the interdepartmental exchange in the day-to-day work.

Ascom has equality and diversity plans in place where required by law. Additionally, Ascom is committed to the Ascom Code of Ethical Business Conduct which demands a zero tolerance policy regarding discriminations of any sort.

Ascom stays committed to reduce energy consumption. Through rigorous monitoring of environmental impacts Ascom concentrates on three main elements: power consumption of products during use, materials used in its products and solutions, and business travel of employees. They amount to a carbon footprint of almost 90%. Ascom defines strategic actions on products/solutions and services by adopting a customer perspective on the most relevant issues. Therefore, our activities are focused on product development, life cycle support and service activities.
Peace, Justice and strong institutions (SDG No 16)
Promote just, peaceful and inclusive societies
Ascom implemented the Code of Ethical Business Conduct which contains binding and worldwide principles covering all business activities in the area of anti-corruption, labor, human rights and the environment. These principles apply to each and every Ascom employee worldwide. The Code is supplemented by additional corporate directives and guidelines as well as regular trainings for employees in different Corporate Governance areas.

Ascom has been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) since 2010 and is committed to respecting the ten principles of human rights, labor rights, the environment and anti-corruption.
