Test engineer - Unite

Are you a backend software test engineer and have a passion for software testing and systems that are designed for reliability, performance and quality? Then this opening as test engineer might be what you are looking for!

At Ascom we are developing products to simplify communication and collaboration in healthcare and other segments. The position is based in our Gothenburg office in one of our R&D teams.

What does a typical day look like?

You work closely with the developers in the cross-functional Agile team contributing to the quality of the delivered features

Together in the team you refine and complete features. You design test plan and strategy, design test cases and ensure we have the right balance of automatic and manual tests. You run tests and troubleshoot, install and configure test environments and maintain and evolve the automatic test environment and tool chain.

You collaborate with colleagues inside and outside the team to share knowledge and find synergies in the activities for features spanning over several teams.

Qualifications

• Degree of Master of Science or Bachelor of Science in IT or related field.
• Excellent testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, creating defect reports, verifying solved defects)

• Very good general IT knowledge, e.g. Windows Server, databases & networks in an enterprise environment.
• Fluent in English, speech and writing.
• Experience of continuous integration, test automation and programming used within the test area like Python.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
