Ascom secured in December 2017 a long-term contract in the Enterprise sector with one of the major Dutch universities. The contract amounts to around EUR 5 million and secures the delivery of service, maintenance and certification for fire detection installations during ten years.
The customer is one of the most prominent technical universities in the Netherlands, which is educating over 20 000 students. Following the university's strategy, securing the life cycle of the safety installations is highly relevant. Ascom was formerly asked to deliver over 100 installations in 32 buildings, and is now contracted to have them certified, maintained and upgraded on a year-to-year basis for the next ten years.
The nationwide contract win is significant for Ascom. It shows that one of the most prominent universities in the Netherlands values the company's solutions and market position, and choses Ascom securing the installations for such a long period.
