Ascom — a leading global provider of wireless communications and collaboration solutions for healthcare facilities — has won the contract to equip a new hospital in Germany with the Ascom Telligence patient call system.
The planned building complex will have 4680 rooms, including 120 examination and 9 operating rooms. Around 2,500 people will be employed. For them, Ascom Telligence will in future be the digital communication system for efficient outpatient and inpatient medical care.
Ascom Telligence has already been installed in other hospitals of the same operator for several years and has proven to be very successful. Nicolas Vanden Abeele, CEO of Ascom, says: "I am very proud of this project as the requirements and circumstances were particularly complex and demanding. That we were able to win it underlines Ascom’s agility and expertise."
Rollout will begin shortly and implementation is expected to be completed by the end of 2027.
