Over 500 Ascom Myco smartphones combined with Ascom Unite software to be installed in a digital hospital in North America
A major North American acute care hospital has placed an order to install a large Ascom Myco solution by September 2015. The solution includes over 500 Ascom Myco smartphones combined with Ascom Unite software. This first major implementation in North America exceeds a value of CHF 500'000 in overall revenue for Ascom, and is expected to be the first of many purchases for the healthcare network involved. The 550 beds hospital employs 4'000 people serving their region at three sites with a daily mission of improved patient engagement. The Ascom Myco solution will be utilized within a new 170'000 square meters facility that will be a technological showcase as the region's first fully digital hospital.
The combination of Ascom Myco, the innovative purpose-built smartphone for healthcare, with Ascom Unite software provides the hospital a full solution enabling mobile caregiver's real-time, easy access to patient information anywhere in the facility. Critical lab results, cardiac waveforms, patient monitoring alarms, messages and calls are catalogued, organized and, if need be, automatically escalated. Time saved may then be spent on better patient care.
