Ascom preliminary results 2022

After a strong second half-year, Ascom achieved revenue growth of 2.0% (7.2% at constant currencies) and an EBITDA margin of 8.0% (10.5% adjusted for one-off effects and at constant currencies) for fiscal year 2022, based on preliminary unaudited figures.

AD HOC ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO ART. 53 LR

Ascom generated net revenue of CHF 297.4 million for fiscal year 2022 (2021: CHF 291.5 million), which reflects an increase of 2.0% (7.2% at constant currencies) compared to the previous year, based on preliminary unaudited figures. This revenue growth has been achieved despite a continued shortage of components.

Incoming orders came to CHF 335.7 million, representing an increase of 3.3% at constant currencies. As of 31 December 2022, order backlog stood at CHF 276.5 million (31 December 2021: CHF 256.1 million).

Ascom achieved for fiscal year 2022 an EBITDA of CHF 23.9 million leading to an EBITDA margin of 8.0%. As already disclosed in the half-year results 2022, the EBITDA was affected by one-off charges of CHF 5.2 million, including required revaluation of the Swedish pension plan of CHF 4.5 million and CHF 0.7 million due to the CEO change. Adjusted for those effects, EBITDA for fiscal year 2022 came to CHF 29.1 million representing an EBITDA margin of 9.8% (10.5% at constant currencies) compared to 9.8% in the previous year.

Ascom reports a strong second half-year with an EBITDA margin of about 14.5% (H2/2021: 12.3%).
